Year 3 & 4 BPET Boys Football Tournament 2024

The yearly Year 3 and 4 boys football tournament was held at Watling Park School's outdoor sport facilities, on 8 November. 48 boys from Whitehall Park School, Kilburn Grange School, Rutherford House School, Halley House School, Watling Park School and Deer Park School competed for first place. Throughout the day the players improved their teamworking abilities, developed a sense of camaraderie, built their confidence, and learned how to gracefully win or lose their games.

Whitehall Park School took home the gold this year, which comes as no surprise as they were crowned Islington Football Champions just two weeks prior to the tournament! Congratulations to the winners, and every participating pupil. Taylor, one of the players from the winning team, said: "The matches were really hard and everyone was playing football with a smile on their face, I wish we could play forever". 

Sports coach Jack Briley added: "Each year gets better and better. Every child showed amazing teamwork, passion, and respect for the game. The players showed us what true sportsmanship looks like; they gave their all and lifted each other up whether they won or lost".
