Rivermead Primary School roof renovations completed
Eamon Downes from Acclaim Contracts, headteacher Brian Prebble and Adam Aitchison from Wilby & Burnett
Rivermead Primary School underwent construction work to install a new roof over their entire estate. The renovations, worth £344,000, came from the DfE’s School Capital Funding allocated to us last year as we are a large trust.
Rivermead school's building is over 80 years old and during its time as a maintained school, it underwent minimal renovation or repair work by the local authority. The recent repairs mean the school no longer has to worry about leaks, which was a significant issue during heavy rain. Additionally, the repairs included the installation of new roof windows and lighting, which will help the school reduce energy costs, positively impacting their budget. These improvements also mean that the school will be warmer throughout the colder months of the year.
Having only supported the school for the past two years, we are delighted to have already made such a meaningful contribution to its upkeep and improvement. We are grateful to everyone involved in making this project a success and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the school community.
