Bellevue Place Education Trust

Recruiting Executive Headteacher at Dollis Primary School

“So, what’s next?...” asks the ambitious Head, wondering about their future.

Here’s what. We are implementing a new hub model where schools close to each other are overseen by an Executive Headteacher. If you have a pioneering spirit and a hunger for challenging, new pastures, this is exactly the role for you.

BPET is growing, and this is a rare opportunity for an experienced and ambitious leader to develop their career through leading a rapidly improving school, while also developing a hub to take advantage of the opportunities of close school collaboration.

We are seeking a senior leader in the primary sector; the ideal candidates will have a strong track record in leadership and core learning. They will have to be capable of interpreting, developing and implementing the BPET education vision; have excellent communications skills in order to promote the school to their own communities, and deliver a high standard of education through a broad and balanced curriculum.

The Executive Headteacher will lead Dollis Primary School and inspire other BPET schools in the North London area.

In return, you will get that rarest of opportunities: the chance to lead well-established schools, and ensure that every element is optimised to deliver the highest level of teaching and learning, all while building the new hub model. Furthermore, you will receive unparalleled access to support and to career advancement through BPET’s network of schools and development programmes.

See the candidate pack below for full details.

Dollis Primary School & BPET North London Hub

Dollis Primary School is a culturally diverse, non-selective, co-educational two-form entry primary school that joined BPET on 1 September 2024. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum that goes beyond just academics and there is strong community and parental support for the school and of their children. Their most recent Ofsted inspection (September 2023) solidified the position as a "Good" school.

This role will also initially oversee Watling Park School with a view to growing a hub within the Barnet area. However, it may evolve over time and be partnered with another school(s) depending on the needs and BPET growth.
