BPET Girls Football Tournament 2025
On 7 February, nearly 50 girls from the BPET London hub gathered at Watling Park School's outdoor sports facilities for the annual Year 3 and 4 Girls Football Tournament. Excitement filled the air as the teams took to the pitch, all of whom were ready to showcase their skills and sportsmanship throughout the day.
With eyes set on the coveted trophy, the pupils engaged in a series of matches, demonstrating impressive teamwork and determination. Despite the challenging weather, the players maintained a positive outlook, with one pupil from Deer Park School sharing: "I love that it hailed five times during the matches!" This resilient attitude added to the overall spirit of the event.
This year's tournament featured girls from Deer Park School, Kilburn Grange School, Halley House School, Watling Park School, Whitehall Park School, and Rutherford House School. Hearty congratulations to Deer Park School are in order, as the girls successfully defended their championship title by winning the tournament for the third consecutive year!
A big thank you to our BPET Sports Champion, Jack Briley, the dedicated sports coach from Whitehall Park School, for organising yet another successful football tournament. The competition provided our pupils with a platform to stimulate self-improvement, build confidence and teamwork, and create lifelong memories... especially with the added hail!
