BPET Conference 2024
Last Monday, 4 November, the annual conference at the Doubletree by Hilton hotel brought together over 300 BPET staff from all our 12 schools for a day of learning, collaboration, and professional development. Attendees had the opportunity to choose from 40 workshops led by experts and leaders in their fields, exploring a wide range of topics, gaining new insights, and discovering best practices in education.
Mark Malley, founding BPET trustee and Bellevue Education CEO, delivered the inspirational keynote speech, highlighting how we can develop rounded, engaged children who are on the journey to having all the skills ready for when they enter the working world from the age of 18. Mr Malley gave an overview of how, as a trust, we are developing our aspirations into practical BPET Pillars for all schools to work to, and be assessed by.
After the keynote speech, staff attended their selected workshops on a variety of topics including AI, special needs provision, staff wellbeing, the use of admin tools and much more. The conference concluded with each school holding a discussion and everyone sharing their key takeaways from the day. This session provided a platform for open dialogue and peer learning, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose among all staff.
BPET Chief Executive Mark Greatrex said: "Our vision - to Learn, Enjoy, Succeed - applies to everyone at BPET, not just our pupils. By investing in professional development for all staff and hosting events like our annual conference, we add to what our schools already do. Our ultimate aim is to empower our educators to excel, enriching that way the learning experience for every pupil we serve, who are at the heart of everything we do."
Thank you to all speakers and all staff for bringing your energy, interest and passion.
